What's going to be different? Let me share with you a few things that will guarentee that you will hit your goals this year.

Well, the only sure fire way to guarentee you will achieve your goals is to not have any. No goals, no failure...but that's a horrible way to live. Most people don't set goals (or New Year's Resolutions) because they are afraid to fail. We must get used to failure in order to succeed. Doesn't that sound strange? Yet it's the truth. You enjoy success more when you've failed, you enjoy love more when your heart has been broken, you enjoy wealth more when you have been broke. We must look our greatest fears in the face and know that they are the very things that will get us to our chosen mountaintop.

If you have utter the phrase, "Enough is enough. I want a better life!" Then you can't continue to do the same old, same old. If it hasn't worked for you in the past it's time to scrap the way you've been thinking and start following some principles for success. Here are three that can get you started.

1) Read a chapter a day from an inspiring autobiography. (If you want success, you need to hear the stories of successful people and the hurdles they needed to jump in order to achieve their success.)

2) Call a good friend and give him/her a word of encouragement. (By lifting others up, we rise ourselves.)

3) Write out at least 10 goals that you want to accomplish in the next 12 months and put a date of completion next to each one. (If this was your last year on earth, what would want to do before you entered the pearly gates?)

These are just three quick things you can begin today that will put you on the path towards an excellent 2009!
